We were so happy with the warm accommodation, lovely home surroundings and fantastic hospitality. The breakfast was great too :) We will stay with Pam again and are recommending her, and her accommodation, to our friends. Thanks again Pam - Linda, Bay of Plenty N.Z.
Beautiful 1905 character house with vintage furniture and large grounds. Pam cooked a large country breakfast, with heirloom china and silver cutlery. The ultimate hostess from an award-winning chef. Definitely recommend and will stay there again. Excellent value for money - Peter, Manawatu N.Z.
Very nice old character villa - warm and inviting. A great overall experience - Chris, Waikato N.Z.
Pam was a wonderful host! We got by far the best breakfast we had after 8 weeks travelling through N.Z. Fresh and homemade items, eggs and bacon, sauages, marmalade and great jelly, rosti and baked tomato, just to mention some of them. The rooms are nicely decorated, and clean and spacious, with a fridge, coffee/tea and cookies. The perfect overnight stay after a long day of driving. Highly recommended. Thanks for the pleasant communication as well :-) - Carsten, Germany.

We stayed at Pukepapa Lodge in July and having read the reviews already on this site, it's hard to add anything further because it's all true! It's the most wonderful venue to rest and relax. Being gluten-free wasn't a problem and breakfasts were individually cooked perfectly. Pam, a delightful, very natural person, is extremely experienced in hospitality. It was lovely to be able to just relax in the beautiful surroundings of this beautifully restored villa and pretty gardens. We'd love to be there in the spring and summer when the indoor/outdoor flow must only add to the beauty of this delightful treasure of a traditional villa. We enjoyed good chatter with the other couple staying, and Pam, but equally we could have had complete privacy in our good-sized room if we'd desired. So glad we had to change our plans because of the snow-covered Central Plateau!! - Kim, Wellington, N.Z.
5* I stayed at the Pukepapa Lodge while I was in the area for a business trip. It was such a nice escape from the typical business hotel visit. I had several very nice conversations with the owner. She made some great recommendations for dinner when I arrived. The next morning, she prepared an unbelievable breakfast with so many options, including eggs, cereals, homemade preserves, homemade yogurt, and so much more!! The room was very spacious, nicely decorated, and clean, as was the private bathroom. The outdoor space also looked very pretty and relaxing, with a picture-perfect lemon tree standing out just behind the house. Sadly, I visited in the heart of the winter and was unable to spend any time outdoors. If I ever find myself in the same area for business or pleasure, I will definitely stay at the Pukepapa Lodge again! - Stuart, New Jersey USA

5* Stayed here with my wife for 3 nights in November and had a thoroughly enjoyable time. The B&B is a real home from home and Pam is a wonderful host who can't do enough to help. ***** I stayed at Pukepapa Lodge for 2 nights of a business trip. Straight away I felt the peaceful grandeur of this beautiful 1905 homestead and I also felt very much at home. Pam is a gracious host and she puts in quite an effort to ensure that her guests do in fact "feel at home". There was so much beautiful and historical art on the walls of the home that had so many stories to tell. Pam would fill me in on the details of such art, especially so, for the line drawings of the old, pre-colonial, Maori settlements on the Thames Coast of the Coromandel. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast generous and delicious. The garden was beautiful. I recommend this place as a peaceful oasis for travellers to stay at - Richard, Waikanae, N.Z.
Pam was very welcoming and just made our stay absolutely wonderful. The property was beautiful in a quiet neighbourhood but within access to Marton's center, The breakfast was absolutely wonderful as well! - Alexandra, Lower Hutt, N.Z.

10/10 Fantastic B&B!!!! The property is a fantastic villa. All the rooms were very clean. The rooms were comfortable and well equipped. We could use the lounge to sit, talk and watch tv. The owner was delightful, very helpful, very friendly and cooked a great breakfast. We will be back again - Martin, Kumeu, Auckland, N.Z.
